Today is heavy, tired of carrying the smile
Of that soul which constantly fights.
My heart is yearning; I can't wait to see the gown,
That beholds season upon season,
Reminiscence of struggles and strife.
I was a little boy/girl.
Today marks the adieu to the journey that made me a legal mind,
An accountant, a witness, an evidence, a truth.
If only I had relented in year one,
I wouldn't be here.
If only I hadn't taken the last lap,
Today would not carry the heaviness of my smile.
But now,
Tell Mama,
Sing to Papa,
Let the drums roll
With the tale of my endless fight.
I have been rewarded
With a gown of knowledge and strife.
Today, the leaves, the sky, the breeze, the souls, and my footsteps will wear my smile.
I know it's heavy, but yes!
They won't mind. 😊
